Lasting Impact:
The Graceful Influence of Every Woman

Ever wonder if you’re making a difference in your world? There’s a lot on your plate. Everyday tasks pile up and your weeks are packed. It’s easy to feel like you’re not making a real impact on your loved ones, workplace, or community. But the stories of biblical women answer resoundingly, Yes, you do make a difference!

Lori Stanley Roeleveld offers you the chance to realize the power of your influence. In examining the lives of pairs of women from the Bible, you will discover how their contrasting choices allowed them to influence future generations. And whether their decisions were wise or unwise, God was able to use their stories to make Himself known. The relevance of their struggles will shed light on the challenges modern women face in making similar choices.

Over three talks we’ll review the choices of four pairs of women:

Session One (Sat AM) – Mary, Martha, Eve, and Mary: The Surprising Impact of Relationship and Obedience

Session Two (Sat PM) – Deborah and Jezebel: The Powerful Impact of Influence

Session Three (Sun AM) – The Woman with the Alabaster Jar and You: The Fragrant Influence of Focused Devotion to Jesus

Our annual leadership reTREAT will help you step out of that “noise and confusion” and leave the treadmill of expectations and pressures of daily life and ministry behind. It is a time to restore your soul (and body!) and replenish your spirit; it is a time to be nurtured and cared for by other sisters in Christ. As women who are involved in leading and serving, we need the body of Christ and the nourishment of loving sisters who are sharing, praying, and holding one another accountable just as much as any of those God calls us to serve.

Our time together will feature a variety of elements:

  • Meaningful and inspirational worship

  • Special guest speaker Lori Roeleveld (https://loriroeleveld.com/) will be speaking twice on Saturday and at Sunday’s general session on “Lasting Impact: The Graceful Influence of Every Woman”

  • A relaxed time of fun to connect with old and new friends

  • Personal quiet time and prayer

  • Ministry relevant breakout sessions (you can take 2!).

Breakout Sessions:

  • Talk-back with Lori Roeleveld

  • Caring Connections

  • Emotional Intelligence Impact on Ministry

  • Discerning What is Best

  • Ministry Brainstorming Session

  • 21st Century Evangelism

Please visit out Retreat Breakout Sessions page for topic descriptions and instructor information.

OUR SPEAKER

We are delighted to have Lori Roeleveld as our keynote at this year’s reTREAT. She is a blogger, speaker, coach, and disturber of hobbits who enjoys making comfortable Christians late for dinner. She has authored four award-winning books, with a fifth in the works. She speaks regularly at women’s events and retreats across the country. Though she has degrees in psychology and biblical studies, Lori’s learned the most from studying her Bible in life’s trenches. She speaks her mind at loriroeleveld.com

OUR WORSHIP LEADER

Nichole DiVietro serves at Bedford Road Baptist Church in Merrimack, New Hampshire, alongside her husband, Erik. She comes from a musical family and has worked with music teams and choirs for over twenty years. In addition, she teaches piano and voice to children and adults. Her passion is using music to encourage others in their journey with Christ, and she views the piano as an altar to pour out her devotion to the Lord. Nichole’s musical influences include Rich Mullins, Michael Card, and Kathy Troccoli.

HELP A GREAT CAUSE

Our Outreach Opportunity for this year’s retreat is Jasmine Grace Bags of Hope Ministries. Women who are homeless or in programs throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire are given bags filled with basic items that we take for granted every day to reach out to vulnerable women in a practical way. Jasmine’s story, outlined in her book, “The Diary of Jasmine Grace,” opens a door into her life as a prostitute and drug addict. In her diary she shares the struggles that eventually landed her a seat in a 12-step program, a job in the anti-trafficking movement and a place in a community church.

Jasmine reveals the strengths, vulnerabilities, and processes that changed her. Jasmine discusses how faith influenced her, and she sheds light on the road to recovery, relapse, and redemption. Jasmine will be sharing during our Friday night panel discussion on “Persevering in Hope.” You can read more about her ministry at https://www.jasminegrace.org/bags-of-hope

Items Needed for the Bags of Hope

Shampoo, 12 ounces | Conditioner, 12 ounces | Toothpaste and toothbrushes | Deodorant | Feminine products | Sanitary wipes | Lip balm/ChapStick | Hairbrushes and elastics | Trail Mix | Winter hats, gloves, and scarves | Cute socks | Dunkin Donut gift cards | Visa Gift Cards

We will be receiving donations for this great cause! Please bring an item with you when you come. It can be something as small and simple as a brush, ChapStick, or deodorant. We’ll be collecting all of the items and sending them to the ministry for them to distribute to those in need. Thank you for your help in ministering to these dear women!

“Where can women in leadership be refreshed? We’re always ‘on’ whether we are teaching, planning, leading, or delegating. We need a place to let down and let go-to connect with other women and to be fed so our cup is refilled. The by design reTREAT is it-a place to refresh, share ideas, pray and be in God’s presence so we can hear His direction for our next step.

I attended the reTREAT and met wonderful kindred sisters. We connected over meals and heard from speakers on topics that we encounter. And, we left feeling like family. It is so good to know I am not alone out there. God has an army of women on the front lines and they can become my rear guard as I serve in my local church and community. One favorite moment of the weekend was when we all broke out singing the Doxology in the dining hall. Voices raised. Perfect harmony. Clear and strong. It was such a beautiful picture of God’s daughters working in unity, according to our giftededness, for the Kingdom.”
